Working hard (quietly)
Hello long time no blog! I did have a few posts in draft but I caught covid and went on holiday pretty much straight after so what I wrote was pretty out of date.
Here’s a little update of what I’m up to: Firstly I am tabling at Duplicate Publishing Fair on Friday 2 May and Saturday 3 May which should a be a nice and fun event for zines and prints and what-not. Going to do a little launch of my stationery sets there, yay! I’m working on another tiny zine dedicated to William Finn (taking a bit longer than the last one because it involves typography which I’m not great at).
Otherwise, there’s some new stickers on the way and I have finished editing my upcoming comic ‘Erin and Pig’ ready for July where it will be available digitally at the LDC Online Comic Fair.
My online shop launch is planned for August with printed copies of everything I’ve made. It’s taking a long time to set-up because I’m switching storefront provider and because I’ve been waiting for nicer lighting and a bit of time to take some good in-situ pictures.
If you’re waiting on Apricots I promise it is on my radar and I will get to finish it one day! I have limited time to make stuff so am prioritising things which have quicker finish lines for now. In my head I also have an even bigger project brewing which I am completely sidestepping until I have finished Apricots and I have a bit more time in general for art.
I’m going to try and branch out and make this blog a little more of a resource- going into a bit more detail about what exactly I’m doing to make art happen. I think it’ll be fun to try and look at each step from a more outdoor perspective and give myself a bit of a pat of the back for working on stuff almost constantly. Ha.
That’s all for now!
